For the last 20 years a new concept of fashion was rolled out into the world. This concept is known as "Fast Fashion". This form of fashion is responsible for insane amounts of wasted textile around the world. In the US alone, around 16.9 million tons of used textile waste is generated each year, as reported by the EPA. We at C'ÉTAIT BIEN want to contribute in stopping the fast fashion trend. It's more sustainable and ethical to
invest in durable and high quality clothing pieces that you can wear many times over and over again. Unfortunately with fast fashion still growing in popularity, most people don't want to be seen wearing the same clothes too often. The average piece of clothing is only worn a few times before being thrown away. Fast Fashion is not sustainable or ethical. The overproduction and
overconsumption of cheap disposable clothing lead to an enormous quantity of textile waste.
At C'ÉTAIT BIEN our mission is to help stop the fast fashion trend. The future of our planet and there for the lives of future generations are at risk. A new inevitable trend in the fashion industry has to start now. Not fast fashion but forever fashion.
Our current collection and all of our future ones are made to last and made in the most sustainable and ethical way possible.
Let's stop fast fashion. Are you with us?
Fast fashion: inexpensive clothing produced rapidly by mass-market retailers in response to the latest trends.
